Evite, the leading digital platform for bringing people together, today announced that the company has reached an important milestone: women now make up over half of the members of its executive team.
Women currently make up 59% of Evite’s total employees and 52% of its senior leadership roles. The heads of Product, Analytics and Data Infrastructure, Mobile Development, Testing and Advertising Operations at Evite are all women – a rarity in the tech industry. Women also lead HR Legal & Operations, Process Excellence, Sales Strategy, and Corporate Communications & Business Development.
“With the tech industry under fire for gender inequality, I’m proud to say Evite fosters a best-in-class environment in which all employees can excel, regardless of gender,” said Victor Cho, Chief Executive Officer of Evite. “Our experience confirms the phrase ‘female-friendly tech company’ doesn’t have to be an oxymoron.”
Evite offers an attractive environment for work/life balance for employees, with perks such as paid family leave, unlimited (trust-based) vacation, and flexible work schedules. This company culture plays a significant role in attracting the best tech talent.
The female-friendly environment at Evite dates back to 1998; one of the Company’s co-founders is a prominent woman in tech, Selina Tobaccowala. Cho has continued this legacy by promoting an open meritocracy where new ideas are the norm and all employees have the chance to lead strategic initiatives. With its recent move to a larger headquarters in downtown Los Angeles to accommodate growth, the Company expects to keep hiring in 2017.
